| Downtown Clean & Safety Team Ramp up for Spring

Columbia, SC – April 30, 2008 - City Center Partnership is pleased to announce its clean and safety team has received new reflectorized spring uniforms to increase their visibility particularly in the evening hours. Along with new uniforms, the clean and safety team continues to provide free shuttle transportation to and from anywhere within the business improvement district. In addition, the clean team is responsible for caring for the 86 hanging baskets and 65 potted plants throughout the business improvement district. This spring season, the Coleus plant will be the featured centerpiece in all the hanging baskets surrounded with Sweet Potato Vines that drape and half a flat of Salvia Vista Red that grows upward making these baskets a beauty of greens and reds. Each plant is cared for on a daily basis with fresh soils, compost, and fertilizers.
Hours of Operation for the Shuttle Service
The hospitality team’s shuttle service is provided free Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. and on Sunday’s from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Daytime and evening phone number is 803.309.7758. The clean and safety ambassadors work 7 days a week to better serve the residents, employees, and visitors of downtown Columbia.
